- Don't buy Eggs.
Ninety-eight percent of eggs are produced from hens forced to live in battery cages.
Almost every egg eaten from a restaurant, a fast-food place, or purchased at your local grocery store
has come from hens living in similar conditions to those illustrated on this website.
Click here for information on cooking without eggs.
- Go Vegan!
Adopting a vegan diet, one free of animal products, is the most important thing you can do
to promote kindness and compassion towards animals.
Hens are not the only animals that suffer miserably on factory farms. Pigs, cows, turkeys, and other farmed
animals suffer from a system in which living feeling animals are regarded as mere property, commodities
to be exploited for every last penny.
Everytime you sit down for a meal, you have the choice to contribute to animal abuse, suffering, and exploitation,
or to make the kind, compassionate, and liberating choice of veganism. Please, for the animals, go vegan!

- Organize A Presentation
If you live in Ohio, Mercy For Animals would be more than happy to give a presentation at your school, organization, or church.
Just email us at info@mercyforanimals.org to arrange a date and location.
- Change the Law.
Hundreds of millions of hens endure the inherent cruelty of the battery
cage system every year. In 1999, the European Union voted to ban the use of these cages. Sadly,
the U.S. has not followed. Contact your representatives and demand that they take a stand
against blatant animal cruelty by banning battery cages.
